This is sorta unrelated but I somehow managed to mess around trying to improve my aim in Eldritch Koakuma's level (after getting all 3) that she actually died. somehow.
Probably just a really high health pool so (spoiler)
surprisingly fully realised despite being made under a jam deadline. driving the motorcycle around while koakuma rockets everyone to death doesn’t stop being fun from the moment it starts. also koakuma of the fields is iconic. stunning work.
The game might be (probably is) amazing, I can tell it has a lot of effort. but it's hard for me to play the game when this keeps happening every time I try to use the central concept of the game, while the game runs at 15 frames at both the highest and lowest settings.
I hope I can play this game sometime, because it genuinely looks fun and well-made.
motorcycle flipping (should be) fixed in v0.1b; also added a setting for turning off volumetric fog (apparently can have a performance hit of 40fps on some hardware D: )
I love the style of the game and I think it has some very good ideas!
The issue I had was combat on the motorcycle. Whether it was a skill issue on my part or not, I felt like the projectiles were just too slow to keep up with the fast moving motorcycle combined with the moving enemies. The ice spell felt like it was the only spell I could semi-consistently hit the enemies.
I did find a few bugs, including one that lets you skip getting all the books and spells except one. I plan on recording it and sending it in a reply so It can be shown rather than described in a poor manner.
Overall, I think this game has good potential, and I really connect with this low poly design combined with the art and style. I had fun testing the spells and the dialogue changing based on you have is sick attention to detail that I love to see. The biggest issue was the motorcycle combat but besides that, It is a solid game.
hah, was worried for a second that i'd misprogrammed a door item check or something but sidestepping the checks altogether is pretty clever
shooting while moving definitely takes getting used to, in that the projectile has the motorcycle's velocity added to it on launch - so driveby'ing an enemy to the right of the motorcycle, for example, requires placing the crosshair to the right of the enemy's position on screen, such that the added motorcycle velocity carries the projectile leftward into the enemy. alternately driving the motorcycle directly at an enemy will minimize this effect and then it's like a ranged jousting match
OK, not sure what's going on, but when Patchouli's bike hits a sloped area or a bump, the bike just goes crazy in trying to angle itself. Makes it difficult to figure out what direction the bike is even facing.
Also, Patchouli doesn't do well climbing up or down surfaces, and this is just with the first level to begin with.

PS: it's kinda funny how easy it is to get out of bounds by just driving around.
PS2: no need for PS.

In other words, I finished it the fastest I have with a 3:33!

I kinda just drove around the enemies in circles and let them come to me
edit: to clarify, so Koakuma could shoot them, I just tried to dodge.

Hopefully this gets address in a later update.
